I’m Dean Clancy — a Senior UI/UX & Product Designer specializing in mobility ecosystems and UI craftsmanship across complex systems. I design experiences across In-Vehicle HMI/CID, connected mobile apps, and web-based personalization and product education across multi-channel touchpoints—and I bring the same rigor to eCommerce journeys and internal enterprise platforms (intranets, portals, admin tools) that power operations, support, and service delivery. My goal is consistent: build interfaces that feel clear, predictable, and confidence-inspiring—while safely going fast.
I’ve partnered with enterprise teams on high-visibility initiatives and stay NDA-respectful while outcome-driven. I focus on the how and why: interaction models, information architecture, scalable UI systems, prototyping, usability validation, and cross-functional alignment—without revealing proprietary details.
My edge is craft + scale: typography, hierarchy, spacing rhythm, component rigor, deep state design, and interaction polish—backed by design tokens, accessibility-minded patterns, documentation, and design system governance so teams ship quality consistently across surfaces.
Outside design, I live mobility. I’m an FAA-certificated pilot working toward my commercial rating, I hold a CDL endorsed for cross-border operation across North America, and I spent my summers growing up traversing the Great Lakes—operating boats and learning what real conditions do to human attention, decision-making, and safety. I bring that perspective into how I design interfaces that stay clear under pressure. I also believe vehicles need purposeful tactile interaction—we shouldn’t be driving iPods.
I’m interested in roles spanning Mobility UX, HMI/IVI, Avionics, Design Systems, ADAS communication, Connected Platform Experience, eCommerce, and internal tools across automotive, aviation, and marine.
